Remove duplicate files the easy way

hello everyone!!

I have always wanted this kind of software. I have thousands of mp3 songs packed in various partitions of my hard disk. I have collected these songs from several places and keep them storing, but the problem while augmenting my collection is that I am never sure whether I have copied the set of songs before or not, so I just copy them irrespective of the fact that they may be already present. The consequence is that my limited 40GB hard disk space is almost full leaving me with no more space to store anything else.
That is why I always wanted a software that could compare the contents of two folders and remove the duplicate elements.

File Comparator is a program which compares any files by their contents. This utility allow you to quickly compare contents of any files in specified folders, and allow to show files which contain same data.

Browser Shaking

This is a fun little trick that can create a shaking screen on your web browser (i.e. Internet Explorer, etc..)
The trick is simply a small Java Script that causes your browser window to move to different positions, causing a shake of your entire screen. It's kind of cool to watch and see what Java Script can do! Try it out..
Use this trick at your own risk.
Here's how:
Copy this entire line and paste it onto your address box, then press Enter:

javascript:function Shw(n) {if (self.moveBy) {for (i = 35; i > 0; i--) {for (j = n; j > 0; j--) {self.moveBy(1,i);self.moveBy(i,0);self.moveBy(0,-i);self.moveBy(-i,0); } } }} Shw(6)

Windows 8 Start screen 8 things you need to know about Windows 8
If you haven’t seen or tried the new version of Windows yet, prepare to be dazzled—as well as very, very confused.
Available now for download and coming pre-installed on new PCs, laptops and touchscreen tablets, Windows 8 represents a top-to-bottom reinvention of Windows.
Available now for download and coming pre-installed on new PCs, laptops and touchscreen tablets, Windows 8 represents a top-to-bottom reinvention of Windows.
Instead of your familiar desktop, the first thing you’ll see in Windows is the “Start” screen, a constantly updating, multicolored patchwork of “live” tiles that display your email, calendar, photos, local weather, Facebook updates, breaking news, you name it.
You’ll also find dozens of eye-popping, full-screen apps that look like they belong on a tablet rather than a PC. In fact, these new made-for-Windows-8 apps have been designed for touchscreen tablets and PCs (includingMicrosoft’s new “Surface” tablets), but you can also use them—somewhat awkwardly—with a traditional mouse and keyboard.
All very impressive, but what if you just want to open your favorite Windows programs—or, you know, use your PC the way you always have? In that case, get ready for a big adjustment, plus lots of “Now what do I do?” moments.
Here’s a few things you need to know about Windows 8, starting with…

1. It’s available now

Windows 8 tablets and PCs 300x198 8 things you need to know about Windows 8
Windows 8 runs on touch-enabled PCs and tablets, as well as on traditional mouse-and-keyboard desktops that lack touchscreens.
Windows 8 made its official debut on Friday, October 26 and there are three different versions, only one of which you can buy now:
  • Windows 8: the standard version of the new Windows works on both desktop PCs and (pricey) Intel-powered tablets, and it boasts the new, touch-friendly Start screen, all the core Windows 8 apps (like Mail, Calendar, Messaging, Photos, and Internet Explorer 10), Microsoft’s new suite of security software, and the ability to run older Windows programs. You’ll be able to buy a stand-alone version of Windows 8 early next year; for now, though, it’s only available on brand-new PCs and tablets.
  • Windows 8 Pro: A more robust version of Windows 8 with beefier, business-oriented security features, the ability to connect a remote Windows desktop, and support for corporate computer networks. If you have a PC with Windows 7, you can purchase and download a Windows 8 Pro upgrade right now; more on that in a moment.
  • Windows RT: A version of Windows designed for budget (as in $500 or less) tablets that boasts the same colorful “Start” screen and touchscreen apps as regular Windows 8, but lacks the ability to run older mouse-and-keyboard Windows programs. (What does “RT” stand for, you ask? “Runtime,” for what it’s worth.)

2. Windows 8 has a split personality

Part of the reason Windows 8 is so confusing to the uninitiated (myself included) is that it’s essentially two versions of Windows rolled into one.
Related: 8 gotta-know tips for Windows 8 newbies
First, you’ve got the new Windows—the one with colorful, touch-friendly tiles and apps (about 10,000 made-for-Windows-8 apps are already available) optimized for tablets and touchscreen PCs.
Then you’ve got the familiar, old-fashioned Windows, which you can access by clicking the Desktop tile on the Windows 8 “Start” screen.
Now, the new Windows with its always-updating “live” tiles is feast for the eyes, and on a touch-enabled PC or tablet, you’ll want to reach out and touch it.
That said…

3. You can use Windows 8 without a touchscreen

All the nifty little tiles on the Windows 8 Start screen can be clicked with a mouse as well as tapped with a fingertip, and you can click and drag to swipe to the next screen.
In other words, don’t feel like you need to spring for a new touchscreen PC in order to use the latest version of Windows.

4. The “Start” menu is gone

Windows 8 missing Start menu 300x191 8 things you need to know about Windows 8
Here’s the “legacy” Windows desktop running on Windows 8. Notice anything missing?
Click the Desktop tile from the new Windows 8 Start screen, and you’ll see your familiar program icons, the taskbar, the clock, and notification tray, all right where you left them—everything except the Start menu.
In place of the Start menu is the aforementioned Start “screen,” your nerve center for all those flashy Windows 8 apps, as well as for any old Windows programs that you “pin” to the screen.
You can access the Start screen anytime by flicking your mouse to the bottom-right corner of the screen, and you can get a list of all your apps and programs by right-clicking on the Start screen and clicking the All Apps buttons.
Want to search, restart, hibernate or power off your system? Those functions used to live in the old Start menu, but now they sit in a hidden panel that slides out from the right side of the screen.

5. Most of your old Windows software will run on Windows 8

Microsoft has a free tool—the Windows 8 Upgrade Assistant—that’ll scan your system, then warn you if any of your old Windows programs won’t work under Windows 8.
Most of my Windows 7 programs seem to be running on Windows 8 without a hitch, although a couple of old utilities got nixed.
Windows 8 Upgrade Assistant 300x239 8 things you need to know about Windows 8
The Windows 8 Upgrade Assistant will warn you if any of your apps—or if your system itself—will have any trouble with the new Windows.
You can also search Microsoft’sCompatibility Center to see if Windows 8 will play nice with your favorite programs.

6. Any PC that runs Windows 7 should be able to run Windows 8

So says Microsoft, anyway.
That said, the same free diagnostic tool that checks if your old Windows software will run under Windows 8 will also

7. No, you don’t have to upgrade to Windows 8 right away…

As the days, weeks, and months roll on, it’ll be more and more difficult to buy a new PC that isn’t running Windows 8.
That said, there’s nothing stopping you from sticking with Windows 7—or an even earlier version of Windows—on your current system.
Indeed, Windows 8 is such a radical change from Windows 7 that I recommend holding off on upgrading unless you really, really want a taste of the future.
So, how long could you stick with Windows 7? Well, Microsoft currently plans on supporting Windows 7 until at least January 2020, so no need to feel rushed.

8. … but you can upgrade to Windows 8 now, if you really want

If your PC is running an authorized version of Windows, you can download and install the Windows 8 “Pro” upgrade immediately if you wish.
The upgrade costs $40, and you can download it from the web.
I downloaded and installed the update on one of my older Windows 7 PCs, and the entire process took about two hours—not bad.

FOLDER OPTION missing

Many of us sometimes find the folder options missing in windows explorer.

Here's the solution
Open Run and then type "gpedit.msc".
Now goto
User Configuration > Administrative templates > Windows Component > Windows Explorer.

Click on Windows Explorer you will find the 3rd option on the right side of screen
"Removes the Folder Option menu item from the Tools menu"

Just check it,

if it is not configured then change it to enable by double clicking on it and after applying again set it to not configured.

I hopes that you will find the option after restarting windows.

Recover the lost administrators password in Windows XP

Slightly more work needed if you lose or forget the Windows XP administrator password.

1.First reboot Windows XP in safe mode by re-starting the computer and pressing F8 repeated as the computer starts up.

2.Then (in safe mode) click Start and then click Run. In the open box type "control userpasswords2" without the quotes - I have just used quotes to differentiate what you have to type.

3.You will now have access to all the user accounts, including the administrators account and will be able to reset the lost password.

4.Just click the administrators user account, and then click Reset Password.

5.You will need to add a new password in the New password and the Confirm new password boxes, and confirm by clicking OK.

All done, you have recovered the lost adminitrators password!

mts mblaze uses the evdo cdma technology for connectivity. tehy provide their service through a variety of models of modem like mmx 250c, ec220 etc. this trick works for any cdma modem like tata indicom or reliance cdma.
the trick is queit simple and you can unlock your mts in just 5 mins by reading this detailed step by step guide. first of the things you need to make sure is that there is a provision to use sim in your mtsmodem. if there is a sim slot you can proceed. you will need to download few softwares to do the unlocking your mts and you will also need the spc code for your mts mblaze modem. the procedure is same for any model of mts mblaze. like huawei or micromax or zte.

step by step guide to unlock mts modems

  • mts disables the ruim facility of the modem before they sell it. all you need to do is enable the ruim (removable userdentity module). this can be done easily by cdma workshop
  • download and install the cdma workshop software from here. kindly remember to disable the antivirus before downloading this dsoftware because a few antivirus considers cdma workshop crack as virus
  • run the cdma workshop software that you just downloaded to unlock mts modem
  • in the common port drop down list select the com port to which you connected the mts modem, refer to the screen shot
bsnl evdo zte ac8700 unlock
  • and click on the connect button
  • after the mts modem is connected select the security tab and select spc. input 000000 in the box  click spc  and click send. 000000 is the default spc for mts. if this spc is not correct then  try to use the read spc option from the cdma workshop the function is available in only few mts modem models
bsnl evdo zte ac8700 unlock

bsnl evdo zte ac8700 unlock
  • it will show spc accepted. if this message doesnt appear unlocking will be very hard
  • now select the “other” tab and in the ruim select  ruim if availabe or to ruim only and click on the send button. this makes your non ruim mts modem to ruim
  • thats it you have successfully unlocked your mts modem
  • if you select ruim only then the default mts service will not work
  • if you select ruim if available then you can use mts without the sim and other services when you insert the sim into the mts modem
if you have any trouble other than the wrong spc code please comment here. if your spc was wrong you can try to read spc code using the option in the cdma workshop. this feature is available in some models only. hope you will enjoy

uSe PeN dRiVe As RaM oN cOmPuTeR

Now a days we can use pen drive itself as a RAM for our system and just increase the general boot up speed and also operational speed of the system . Now a question arises that "Is it possible only for those who have Vista OS " ? my answer is a Big NOOOO..

It can be used by those who have Windows XP and also for Windows 2000 (Mostly)
.All u need is a pen drive of minimum 1GB . now I will tell you the steps

1. Insert the Pen Drive (1GB atleast) in the USB port
try to prefer 4GB.
2. Let the PC do what it wants to do to detect it..
3. After it finished his work, you have to act smart,

" Here goes the real thing "

4. Right Click on My Computer -> Properties
5. Advanced -> Performance Settings
6. Advanced -> Change
7. Select the Pen Drive
8. Click on Custom Size

" Check the value of space available "

9. Enter the same in the Initial and the Max columns

" You just used the space of the PenDrive as a Virtual Memory "

Restart........

Now check the general start up time and also speed of your system .. so u can have a high speed system in low cost.

Now we download stuff almost daily. New products pop out so often. You can use any software forever you want. You can download trial version, right. Trial version expires after some days. You can stop that expiration. You can tell trial version of the software to not count days or do not bother about time. The software will stay and keep working like original software forever and will not expire or cease to work. You do not have to change your system clock. This little software does it all.

Time Stopper is the software which can stop the time for try out version software. When you stop the time you can use your try-out versions forever. When you stop the time of a try-out version using this Time Stopper it works via this Time Stopper. Real time and date run normally on your system. You can use any number of try-out version softwares with this software.

How it Works

  • Open Time Stopper
  • Browse and select .exe of required trial software
  • Choose the new date (Any date which occurs in between your trial software time period before expiration, suggestion: set it to two days before trial software expiration date.)
  • Choose any time
  • Click open software on your selected date
If you wish to create an icon for your modified trial software and do not want to open Time stopper every time then use last button in software to create new icon. open that trial software after that from that newly created icon always otherwise it can expire.

Many text editors and programs allow you to highlight all or portions of text using the Shift key and the mouse. For example, place the cursor at the beginning of a paragraph, hold down the Shift key and click at the end of the paragraph to highlight the full paragraph.
Take full advantage of the scroll wheel
Today, everyone is fully aware of a mouse wheels ability to scroll up and down on a page. However, this wheel can also do so much more, as shown below.
  • The mouse wheel is not just a wheel, it can also be used as a button. Pressing down on the wheel will act like a third mouse button. This can be used to open a web page in a tab by clicking the wheel on any link and can also be used to close a tab by clicking the wheel on any open tab.
  • Quickly Zoom in and Out on a web page, word document, excel spreadsheet, etc. by holding down the Ctrl key and scrolling up to zoom in and down to zoom out.
  • Move forward and backwards while browsing the Internet by holding down the Shift key and scrolling up and down. Scrolling down goes back and scrolling up goes forward.
Select with double and triple click
Any word can be selected by double-clicking the word. If you want to highlight the whole paragraph, click the mouse button three times on any text in the paragraph.
Use the right-click
Take full advantage of the right-click any time you highlight text or wish to view the properties of an object. For example, if you highlight a file or text, you can right-click that highlighted item copy it and then right-click anywhere else to paste it.
Tip: If you right-click on any file or text and drag it while continuing to hold the right button, when you let go you will be given the option to move or copy that file or text. This saves you the extra step of having to right-click where you want to paste the item.
Tip: While in a browser pressing and holding Ctrl while clicking on any link will open that link in a new tab.
Ctrl key and mouse click or highlight
While holding down the Ctrl key you can left-click to select multiple objects or highlight multiple sections of text. For example, in Microsoft Windows you could hold down the Ctrl key and click to select multiple files at once. If you wanted to highlight different parts of a paragraph or web page, you could also hold down the Ctrl key and select each section you wanted to copy.
Tip: Mozilla Firefox users can also hold down the Ctrl key and individually click on each cell in a table they wish to copy or drag their mouse down a row to select just that row or text without selecting any of the other text in that table.
Use the mouse side buttons
Many new computer mice have buttons on the side of the mouse. These buttons can be programmed to do anything, however, by default the left-thumb button can be used to go back on a web page. This makes browsing the Internet more enjoyable since you do not need to move the mouse cursor to the browser back arrow button in order to go back a page.
Use the Windows Snap To feature
Take full advantage of the Windows mouse Snap To feature, which will automatically move your mouse to buttons that appear in a dialog box. For example, if you delete a file or close a window you may get a prompt asking you if you are sure you want to perform the task. With the Snap To feature enabled, the mouse cursor automatically moves to the Ok button, so all you will have to do is click the mouse button if you agree. This saves you the time of having to move the mouse cursor over to the Ok button and then click Ok. To enable this feature open the Mouse properties under the Windows Control Panel and check the Snap To check box under the Pointer Options tab.
Tip: While changing this feature we also suggest looking at other available options in the Mouse settings. For example, increasing the Motion speed can also help increase your productivity while using the mouse.
Manage the open window with the mouse
Double-click the top title bar of any window to maximize a window or if it is already maximized resize it to a window. You can also double-click the icon for the window in the top-left corner of the window to close that window.
Move the mouse with your keyboard
Instead of using the mouse that came with your computer you can also enable Windows to use the number pad as a mouse.
Customize your mouse
Finally, if you have a mouse with more than two buttons, installing the included mouse software will allow you to customize the mouse even more. For example, if you don't use the side buttons to move back and forth in a web page change it to something you do more often, such as switching between open windows or opening the calculator.
